‘I’ll generally be AFK (away from keyboard), though I plan on hitting an Internet cafe on Thursday’, said a random gamer about twenty years ago. In Glitch Feminism (2020), Legacy Russell argues that there is no longer an IRL, but instead the better acronym for offline life is AFK with ‘one continuous self…in a continual narrative of daily living and human existence.’

...& so we present in-person AFK readings as part of a new series in collaboration with The Doublet, free and open to all, with SPAM writers both old and new! ft. a hand made pamphlet available with the readers’ work on the night .Join us for the first in the series, AFK #1!
